Diaspora/Protect Black Women

This piece incorporates images from my trip to Ghana in 2015 and protesting the murder of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery and other Black victims in 2020. This straightforward composition functions as a cross-cultural dialog supporting strength and solidarity among Black women. The piece is adorned with African waist beads, a historical symbol of femininity.
